Hello World, that was probably the corniest introduction I could have thought of. But, this is a blog so I thought it fit perfectly! My name is Jason Morales, and it's super nice to be introducing myself to you all. My birthday just recently passed so I am now 22 and not excited to get older. I am an Arizona native and can't say I'll ever get accustomed to the heat but golly do I love this state. From the amazing sunsets to the mildly cold winter nights I love everything natural this state has to offer. Check out this picture I snapped up in Flagstaff!



A little more about me is that I am a manager at a coffee shop here in Arizona, and I plan on remaining so, unless a higher paying opportunity arises that benefits me more while I finish school. That being said, a goal that I am trying to accomplish is graduating with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering as soon as possible. After many different positions within the company I currently work for I came to the realization that while the work I was doing was fun and paid decently, It didn't support the dream that I had in mind of owning a home and pushing my finances into a more comfortable place. Interestingly enough the thing that pushed me in the direction of finishing my degree was the dissatisfaction with what I was doing and where my life was going. I realized I was wasting my time on "having fun" as oppose to using my time on developing myself further and I figured school was the right first step into disciplining myself to pursue growth. 

Speaking of wasting time on stuff I deemed  useless I for absolutely no reason at all got really into podcasts and stumbled across a very interesting one by Neuroscientist Andrew Huberman that speaks on the effects of dopamine on the drive of the human body and It has honestly helped me a lot with getting off my phone to be productive.


I feel like that last part sounds like a bad instagram ad to a get rich quick guru on instagram so to step away form that, I thought I could talk about my hobbies a little. I have an amazing girlfriend who is showing me the Harry Potter Movies as well as the Lord of the Rings Movies, so that has taken up a lot of my time and I love it. Aside from that I like checking out new restaurants around AZ with my family as well as catching some movies with them as well! Now that the end of the world seems to have been put on hold or the time being it's been nice to take life a little easier. Aside from that I'm a pretty busy guy so I just end up working and taking care of my good old dog Dub.

    Hi Jason! Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourself! You seem to have really good future ambitions for yourself along with the fact you have a very cute dog. This was a good refreshing read!

Entry #4 - Thinking Like a Stoic

  Philosophy and the many different ideologies that come with it have been practiced for centuries and to this day they are often still studied and even practiced. Hello world, It is your favorite digital babbler and today I wanted to talk to you all about my latest and greatest obsession. Entry #5 - An Educated Population?

  While Doug Duecy and I disagree on A LOT, I think it's safe to say that I believe he is right in stating that there are far more positive outcomes to an educated population, than the inverse. World, it is so lovely to be writing to you once again, behind the comfort of my computer screen. Today we will be discussing Governor Doug Duecy’s thoughts on “raising the bar” on education and setting in motion a plan to have 60% of Arizonians with a college degree.  As fellow college students I think many of us will agree that a degree in whatever field it may be is very beneficial to anyone pursuing a career.
